  Try the Mongolian beef and the Orange beef， they are the best!( FYI orange beef takes about 20mins，but worth it！）

  Came here because a friend said the food here is delicious. I beg to differ, the egg drop soup was super basic and the beef egg roll had miniscule bits of beef in it and honestly it was missing in any real flavor, it was sauteed shredded cabbage with a touch of salt and that was pretty much it, I didn't even taste fish sauce, which is a staple in Asian cooking.
  
  The fried rice was really dry and had none of the ingredients I expect to see, onions, peppers, scrambled eggs, sometimes even mixed veggies, it was just dry browned rice.
  
  The beef was very tender and had some flavor to it, but was greatly helped by the addition of soy sauce and the green peppers were undercooked.  
  
  The restaurant itself is very nice and tastefully decorated with traditional Chinese decor. And the servers are super friendly.
  
  I wish I could award more starts, but I just can't, I was greatly underwhelmed. On the upside, lunch was less than $8 and came with soup, 1 crab rangoon and fried rice, the egg roll was an additional$1.50.

  It looks like the Golden Palace has done a little bit of an upgrade " I was told, they might be under new management"  their menu has changed, looks a lot more refined and appealing.  As someone who gets the hot tea every time. The tea pot is different and so are the cups a nice black finish.  Tea seemed to be a different mixture from the norm.  I know it might seem minimal, but sometimes the little things that they do actually makes a big impact on the customers perspective in the long run.
  
  Today I had Pineapple Shrimp and I tell you it was fantastic, a little sweet after about halfway through but it was well worth the money and a very delicious meal.

  It was the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten.
  I had to get up and refill my water myself, twice!
  The waitress needs to be trained on "how to be a waitress".  I'll never, ever, eat at this place again.

  So unfortunate.  We have gone here generally monthly for well over 15 years.  We live 7 blocks away.  The change in ownership is palpable.  
  
  They recently sent a coupon in the mail. $10 off $30 carry out.  I ordered more than usual to use the coupon AND mentioned that I had a coupon when placing the order.  And then went to pick it up and of course forgot my coupon on the kitchen table.  The gals at the front would not honor the $10 off.  Big mistake.  I will never be back.  Ever.  And I will share my experience in my neighborhood app where people are complaining about this place constantly.  I would never try to get one over on a business and am INSULTED that I was trying to do so.  
  
  Has nothing to do with food or quality of food.  This is West Omaha where there are choices galore, including other Chinese places.  Mark my words--I will never be back.  Ever.  EVER.  
  
  In hindsight, I should have left the food there.
